Well, we are right on the edge of yellowstone park. There are so rather large forest fires that we have been biking arround all day to get here, and biking through smoke is not very fun I have found. The mountains are so beautiful here, and it is suppose to get so much better soon. We are taking a much longer route in yellowstone then our maps tell us to, there is just so much more to see then just old faithful. We plan to spend about a week between yellowstone and the grand tetons. So it will most likely be quite a while before I am writing another post.
We meet and biked with two older gentelmen yesterday who were rather fun. One was from england who biked this route 5 times before and the other was from Wisconsin. It was fun to meet other cyclists and have a conversation with them longer then 10 min. They were rather kind and paid for our breakfest and a beer at a bar.
We have also met a lot of poeple biking across the country with support so they are not carrying any weight, and get water, and food and everything. I think that it is cheating. (maybe it is because I am jealous) We did meet this 80 year old man (yes exactly 80 years old) who is biking across the country. After seeing that I think I am not going to be complaining for a while. He even biked acround the world 8 years ago, at the young age of 72 years old.
I am very excited to see yellowstone and the grand tetons, so wish us luck.
